Ronnie,
I am located on the West Coast, USA and would be willing to play a game. I have enjoyed your AARs. My skill level with Russia and Germany (land powers)is my weakest area, but other than that I'm a decent player. I've been playing versions of the game since ~95, though not regularly due to work for most of that period. I'm now in semi-retirement and have more time.

By the looks, German "Austria front" is going to suffer a massive debacle now that all of its forces are pinned on the spot and prone to be butchered.
RE: Global War AAR in Pictures
Hey, Pat. Thanks for the offer. I'm located in Alabama (Central Time Zone). I'd love to give a game with you a try through email. I'm unable to do anything like skype or a PC sharing app so the only way I can play is through email and posts (in this forum).ORIGINAL: ashkpa

I'm at the age where I wished I was retired but I have a disable wife and a teenage son. I also have two Bichon Frise. [:)]
I do find my escape through watching football (College & NFL) and playing MWiF. As I think is obvious by my AAR, I love to play MWiF every chance I get but with work and family requirements I do need the flexibility that PBEM (through email and post) offers. I realize playing this way may take a while to finish a game but I'm willing to give it a go if you are. Though, at your skill and experience level you may beat me pretty quickly.
If that sounds ok we can discuss sides and optional rules in a new thread and through email. By the way, I'm off to work and won't be back until this evening. Dang work, it gets in the way of my MWiF! [:D]

RE: Global War AAR in Pictures
It's a good thing for Germany that the weather is now very bad, otherwise they would have been slaughtered in Austria and Hungary this impulse. But even with the weather being rain, the Allies might be able to put the force in Hungary out of supply in two impulses time, if they can move the ARM into Bratislava without disorganising it and do the same to the south of that pocket.
The units in Austria will probably survive, since there are enough Axis units in the area to close the frontline there.
That attack in Hungary shouldn't have been made. I guess the Germans thought that things were so desperate, that they had to do so.
Germany needs more units in Germany, Hungary and Rumania and they should come out of the USSR by rail. The moment Germany looses Ploesti, things are over for them (and Ploesti is now within range of fast US/CW troops if those are present in Yugoslavia). No oil, means no reorganisation.
