The Chosin Few and Sails of Glory reviews

Post by wodin »

Hello All,

The first two boardgame reviews have been published on the blog. Ares games Sails of Glory and Victory Point Games The Chosin Few! Also the first book review was published as well. Coming soon will be the first military mini figs review, a set of new figures released by United bricks! This will be the start of what I hope to be one of the few military mini fig review pages on the net so I'm hoping it will be a major part of the blog. I have all the major military mini fig companies signed up so the future is bright!

Those military figures are fantastic. Would love me some of those but the price is just daylight robbery. What a joke. [:-]

Robert, are you referring to this type of military figures: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Grenadier-Ludw ... rneethi-21

If yes, they are a foot (12 inches) tall, incredible detail and much of it done by hand...you get what you pay for! [:)]

I guess WWII is too controversial for a company like Lego so they allow companies to make them under licence - who can then charge obscene amounts of money.

Yeah the lego is expensive. But they have to track down all the right bits..plus they are small companies having to pay for the special printers etc..it is a very expensive hobby with tanks costing upto $300. However if I ha dht emoney I'd buy them. Just love it and they are collectors pieces, the price wont drop but most likely in time go up.

Also the price is roughly the same with all the different companies doing them. Some are cheaper but then the uniform details are of less quality. Some of them are £12 so £7.00 or £8.00 you wont get any cheaper. It's really taking off though so lots of people are happy to pay the price, infact conventions have started up. I love them. I want the Minifigs to be a big part of the blog, but don't worry games and books are still there for those not interested in the minfigs! The Minifigs are really a thing for serious hardcore collectors. Check youtube though some great animation films have been done using them.Thinking of using them with the Nuts! rule set by Two Hour Wargames.
