German divisions disintegrated after air attack

Two German divisions. Surrounded and relentlessly attacked through the mud period. On T-46 of '42 scenario, they disappeared and show as eliminated after a bombing attack. Hex 117,72 of gmtello vs. rmonical. We won't pause the game, but if you can grab a copy, it might be interesting.

Hmm... just observed Sov Inf unit retreat/escape after maximum bombing effort. 1st such observation. Playing '41 Axis vs. AI, turn 9, latest patch.

3 were supply drops. 2 bombing.
The first battle shown is a bombing. If there were a ground attack, it would be first.

These divisions were isolated for 4 turns of mud. 2 air and one ground attack each week. gmtello opened the pocket on the 1st clear turn in May. The divisions crossed the Don attempting to escape. I closed the pocket in my turn and pushed them back over the Don into the hex they had vacated the turn before. They still had enough morale to not route. The pocket stayed closed in the ensuing Axis mud turn. In my turn they were eliminated via bombing.
