My brother just had brain surgery...and now sports four holes in head that were used to hold the gamma knife in place, and now hold his headwrap.

Everything good so farr....

The surgery was yesterday, and i will get to doing my turn tonight before bed...no update till then or tomorrow....sorry.

Best wishes to your brother, Lowpe. My mum's had that gamma-knife 3 times, at 10-year intervals. It's done v. well by her, but even though it's bloodless, it's still fair major surgery. Your brother will need some recovery-time.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Very much appreciated.[&o][&o][&o][&o][&o] Everything is going very well so far.

Back on track, turn just sent to Jocke and the invasion is heating up! My initial troops landed unopposed, and I will detail some of the landings and plans once I get the turn back from Jocke.

So far, I am very pleased with invasion!!!!!!

So be patient, more on the turn later, as I have another turn to do in 1944!

Ok, I have the next turn from Jocke and I am preparing to run it.

Several thoughts I wanted to get into the AAR.

First, Jocke mentioned he needed extra time for all the clicks and then again with the turn being returned he mentioned a million clicks. Hopefully, this means this was the first turn he started putting major ground forces into SR mode. Very positive.

Second, I have no bases yet. I did land at three spots and air dropped on a fourth. The paratroops will die this turn most likely, but I am hoping for some auto flips. If I get really lucky I might actually win the war with an auto flip by isolating LA. Well, at least have a chance at doing so.

Third, no bases means no enemy sweeps this day.

Fourth, I suffered a fair bit of disablements to my lead elements. The primary landing has 1000 AV on the ground now, the others less -- but I have cancelled all further landings today to minimize disruption and disablements. Instead the fleets are gathering in one hex and will resume landing on the morrow into Japanese ports. This concentrates the vast majority of my fleet and if the Allies sortie some battleships tonight, hopefully my patrolling surface ships will answer and protect the rest of the fleet.

Fifth, the Allies showed a desire to swing into my LOC back to Pearl. This could be troublesome, but let us see what happens.

So....lets run the turn and see what happens!

Auto flip the Channel Islands.

This will give me a base to put AKE into, but more importantly a base to set as home port for all the task forces in the area that will minimize the potential of returning to replenishment movements all the way back to Pearl.

Worried about the roving Allied feet in my LOC...I hope my patrolling surface fleets engage and my other ships avoid.

Two IJN Task Forces alter course to evade Allied SAG's. All invasion fleets are set to Low threat tolerance. The 1st TF resumed normal direction shortly, while the 2nd is still avoiding.

Here is a picture of the hard working Minazuki.

Made it to daytime, and here you can see the first very major Japanese mistake....the spearhead invasion fleets, at least some of them, start unloading on a island without even a dot.[:(] I guess there will be a fair bit of support troops there for a while.

Not the end of the world, but definitely not what I wanted.

Japanese Task Forces do an amazing job of avoiding Allied SAGs so far.
