v1.11: Launch as group AC cannot be separated

I had no trouble. Went to Unit mode and detached the planes as required.

Also no problem removing units from Group. Unit View>Unit Orders>Group Operations>Detach Selected Unit(s) From Group.

Launch the units as a group from air ops and not part of a mission.

Launched 6 A-7s...let them fly off about 50 miles. detached 1, then 2, then 3. No issues.

I have the save. Maybe my pilots are just more attached to one another than yours. :)

I found if I attach them to a mission, then I don't have this problem.

Mark how many are you launching? Is this going on during the form up?

One thing to keep in mind is that if you aren't zoomed in a lot, when you detach, you might not be able to see the single unit until you give it some separation.

Are you being intentionally obtuse? Over and over I see people trying to help you and you either ignore their request for information or segue into a totally different topic.

Please, take the time to give an exact description of the issue and the steps needed to reproduce it. If you are asking for help it's only fair to give people the information they need to help you.

I can confirm I have encountered something that sounds like this. There was a lot going on and I did what I thought was a standard operation, separating one unit out of a group to go do/check something out, but for some reason it didn't work out as I expected it to.
I did manage to separate the unit out of the group, but it involved switching between unit/group view, selecting/deselecting the unit/group and other groups, in what most accurately can be described as a "highly unstructured, brute force method" where I got the feeling there were some kind of problem/hiccup with the the game's perceived state of the current selection, and that I needed to "reset" it in some way by first getting into another state and then going back to unit view and detach the unit.
I have not been able to reproduce it, but I have the impression there sometimes might be inconsistency between what I believe to be the current state, and what the game's actual state is.

I know, a bit vague, and I don't really have a concrete example or step-by-step guide to reproduce any of this.

Ps Is it possible to use the record feature to demonstrate an issue like this? And if so, how would you about using it in a productive way? I understand the files are rather large, and you can upload only 5MB here...

When something like this happens it is possible to upload a private YouTube video. Are many guys who've done that in the past, and it is very helpful.
