Decisive Campaigns series vs ATG

Post by LarryP »

I own the Decisive Campaigns series, all three packages. I have been comparing them to each other, then today I compared them to Adv. Tactics Gold. Now I am wondering why I ever played anything else besides ATG. Vic did a fantastic job on all that he has made, but the options and versatility of ATG are amazing and above all others!

I remember years ago, setting up different games in ATG, one of them a fantasy game. Then setting up a WW2 game next. What other games can you do that with now and with so many options?

I have found nothing better or even comparable. If I knew how to use that editor better
I am not sure how many other wargames I would need. I started with AH in the mid '60's.

I know this is an old post buy it reflects my sentiments exactly. I can't see myself ever playing a different computer wargame. I called off my regular gameday to play ATG and I was about to take Leningrad too ! (I am in a campaign of Fire in the East)

I am considering purchasing this game right now. Had the DC BWP, but lost both the computer and disc in Sandy. I would like a game that has a catalog of mods available. Welcome opinions. Thanks

I own the Decisive series and I have not been able to get into it. Not enough to do it seems. Lots of cards to deal with and I'm not much for that. Am I wrong?
