As it happens General Patton and I are playtesting the mod of FP that GP made and it's going rather well.
We've found one or two small nits to fix but that's with the mod and not FP. As far as I know FP is ready
for testing / playing. GP and I are on about 17Dec41 or so and so it's really early in the game so far and
it's too early to tell who is "winning" but game play is exciting and rewarding. I'm hooked on it. But then
I would be since I'm the Japs and the Japs indeed do win a lot in the early game period.

Myself and a guy named Larry are playing a PBEM, but we're looking for bugs as well. I personally don't have the time. Para is suppose to be releasing in the next week or so....GP

Groovy. I'll plug around a bit and wait for the new version. Thanks to you both for filling me in.

Would you be interested in playing a PBEM game as Japan? I would like to try this mod as the Allies.

Maybe. I want to see the latest version of the mod first. I'm good for 3-5 turns per week. If that's not enough for you then you'll want to try to find someone else <grin>.

I see that all of the invasion units start on map turn 1, but they all are assigned to restricted commands. Is that intentional?

Also, the invasion mobilization units do not appear. Will they only show up if the Japanese crosses those LODs?

I'm also interested in playing the Allied side when this is ready. Hopefully against someone who is not too experienced as Japan, or I'd be doomed pretty quickly as a long-time AI player (there's a lot I'd need to unlearn). I'd only be good for 3-4 turns a week, though, and probably wouldn't have a lot of time for an AAR.

Cheers,

Gents, Para should be launching FP plus my mod as soon as he gets time off from work. Finding good help is not that easy....GP

A possible opponent found/asked about these things.

If it has not been reported:

Air Groups 3573, 3574, 3575, and 3576 are set to a nationality of IJ Army and the arrive in 1953.
The delay value is 4206 which is completely wrong.

You are using the extended map but not the extended map bases from DBB, which is what the extended
map was all about.

The 403rd Bomb group has an incorrect Nation which has been changed to US Army in my mod which is releasing with focus pacific. The date of 06/42 is correct. I verified this. Did not see a 1953 date. As far as the Map goes, I have forgotten the difference....GP

I had been thinking about creating a mod since 2010 and started about a year later. But progress was slow. Then Para came along with FP with had many of the toys I was thinking about already and some changes and additions I wanted to make I could make with my own. A change log with the changes from FP to FP GP's Mod will be released with the scenario....GP

If you use 4206 in the delay field instead of a complete 6 digit number it treats it as the number of
days to delay instead of a date.

Your right about the date but, after changing the nationality the 4 squadrons were on the reinforcements list for June 42....gp

I guess that you changed the date also, if I just change the nationality I get this:
Anyway, if you fixed it in FP then all is good. Any idea when the update will be available?

Yeah, I would need to see a screen shot of your editor screen.

As far as releasing FP, Para has been very busy at work. I know as soon as he can, he will release....GP

I'm feeling a bit sorry for people who have to work yet. Sometimes I miss it but not a lot. Wargaming for a living
isn't a bad life. You get a copy of the game at least. I'm not complaining.

EDIT: I'm talking about GP's MOD of FP. He sent me a copy of it. Maybe if you ask him really nicely he might
part with it again?

Here is what I am talking about.
4206 days after Dec 7, 1941 is June 16, 1953.
