Is there blood in the game?

Post by Nomada_Firefox »

In Gatheway to Caen, the Blood was reduced or deleted. I found it very unrealistic and not fun for a WWII game.

What have you made for the BF?

The soldiers themselves will be bloody when they become casualties, but there won't be huge pools of blood on the ground like CC.

Fair enough. However can I think how it is a texture effect and perhaps....can it be edited?

The plan is to have these textures modable, yes.

Will The Blood's "The Bloody First" be bloody?

How about giving lightly wounded soldiers a speck of blood as well? In CC you often couldnt tell if a soldier had a minor wound because that fact was obscured by other info on the Soldier monitor.

Given the camera distances involved in TBF you probably wouldn't notice one a 'small' bloody spot on a soldier. But we may be able to provide other visual clues.

How about a white bandage wrapped around a leg, arm or head? Something small but distinct.

That is a good idea. I'll discuss it with the art guys. Might be something they can do without too much trouble.
