INSTALL

1. Download the Zip File, UnZip, and place the -- middle_east_102_cumulative -- folder to \Mods folder, in the CS Middle East main folder:

2. Locate and run the JSGME.exe application (JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler; from now: JSGME) by double clicking it:

3. Depending on your Windows version and it's User Access Control settings, you might see the following warning. Click 'Yes' to continue.

Image

4. Acceps MODS as the default folder for Game Modifications. This is necessary only once, when opening JSGME for the first time:

5. Next, the JSGME dialog will open up. Select -- middle_east_102_cumulative -- as the game modification (From now on: Mod) you want to activate:

6. Activate the selected Mod by clicking the "Right Arrow" button in the middle

7. You have now successfully activated the 1.02 UPDATE Open Beta package!

To deactive the 1.02 BETA

Reverse the process.

Select the middle_east_102 folder and then Press the return arrow (middle one) so the folder returns to the left hand side.

Are they in the middle_east/mods/middle_east_102_cumulative/graphics folder?

They are in mine, so just want to double check.

When I select mausmans mod, it pops up a warning that the terrain has already been modified and may adversely affect the game, I suppose it may be best to go without and see the new terrain then come back for the mod , which further enhances the 3D view(?)

DLed and installed perfectly.

very nice[&o]the detail is very crisp Kudos to the graphics team....I'll wait for someone else to install mausmans mod and see what they think, if I read correctly his mod is primarily for 3D view? so far really great job.

Jason, the anti-tank ditches are excellent! And the crests are an answer to the age old hull down issue I presume....A+++

Hello Carl11,

Sorry, just spotted this. It is actually OK to install the mausman mod on top of the 1.02 OPEN BETA. The JSGME mod tool gives a warning, as mausman mod changes some base files that were updated by the 1.02 OPEN BETA "mod".

This sometimes happens as one mod is installed on top of another. There should be no issues here, and the JSGME tool ensures the mods are deactivated using the correct reverse order, via greying out earlier mods in place. For instance, should you activate mousman mod, the 1.02 OPEN BETA is greyed out, and you again need to deactive mausman before you can deactivate 1.02, should you want to do so.

Hope I am making sense here. [:)]

Keeping in mind I've only played some smaller scenarios; so far the only issues I'm having are with some highlight filters.

I can't seem to get 'save MP to unload' to work unless I display 'maximum movement' first. Not a big issue as I'm used to it but this may not be WAD.
