[ANSWERED] Can't launch planes

Post by kritter »

In this test I have an airport and try to launch a B-1B manually and it says waiting for taxiway (forever). I have aborted the launch and tried another plane but it still does not launch. Is there something I am doing wrong? I have built the airport this way before without trouble.

thanks

Hi Kritter

You have forgotten to add one or more runway access points.

Do that, and your planes launch as intended.

thanks I will try that. The manual says access point or taxiway. I will try it though and see what happens.

Thanks

This is your own test, just with a single access point.

Try this

Edit:
Just tried your latest save, and it works fine on my computer.

Yup that worked. Why did only one access point work when I had 10 fail? I used one for each taxi way and runway.

Just FYI, sometimes when you make changes to an airbase layout you have to save and reopen the scenario after ungrouping/regrouping the units for the changes to "take".

I would wager if you did that after adding an access point, your planes would launch. That's what I did with your test scenario.

I don´t know.

Your ten Access point test works fine here too.

Actually. The more the merrier. It speeds up launch and landing procedures quite a bit.

Try again with 10 just to be sure.

I added one more access point to your test and it hung up again. One works fine. I will try use a new test file from scratch and see if that works. I may have a corrupt test file.

Thanks.

It sounds like it. This is a screenshot from your own 10 access point scen, and everything works.

EDIT: You´re wellcome. Glad it worked out.
