HCE - Foot soldier deployments

I've had HCE for a long time but rarely ever played it much.

Anyway, I've decided to get into it and I can't figure out how to deploy ranger teams (or any other) from helicopters to do recon work etc.

Can someone help me? I find nothing in the manual and I'm pretty sure I used good search terms.

Hi Mofo, welcome back!

The foot soldiers in loadouts are modelled as weapons so you can only launch "fire" them at detected contacts. There are land units so you can drive APCs and Tanks all around if they are separate platforms but anything in a loadout or mount, at present, is a weapon.


FYI, what conversation there is mainly occurs at http://www.harpgamer.com these days. That is also where you can download scenarios, add-ons, beta versions, etc.

HC has been an almost entirely volunteer driven effort since HC97 and few have put effort into documentation, hence your inability to find this answer. We are always looking for more community involvement!
