Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
I would hope that by now some of you have played the scenario.
For those that have, what did you think?
Map size?
Force size?
Type of battle?
Comments??
Good Hunting.

RE: Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
This scenario has been out a considerable time now. So far, not a single word about it.
Has anyone even played it?
If so, what did you think?
Map too big?
Too hard to play on?
No issues?
The future of the maps in the series are somewhat dependent on the response to this scenario. Do we make larger maps like this or keep to the smaller ones we put out with the original game release?
Good Hunting.

RE: Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
How do I find this scenario? I searched the forum for 'Tuesday' and found the original thread but there is no link to the scenario that I can see. Then checked the Mods and Scenarios section here and the 3rd party scenarios section of the OTS site and I see no sign of it?
Cheers,
Chris

Here's my reply, a cut and paste from your 'Early Tuesday' post last Xmas, 12-24-15
..Just finished with a 58% decisive.
Truly a great scenario, this gives (I presume) what is so typical for a NATO Div. Commander to contemplate, you can't be every where just hope your deployment is on the money.
Spoiler alert
This is no small Btn. action,
You start with 2nd line units -reduced Leo 1A1's, PzGrens and scattered Grenadier Mot. Inf plus a good force of Recons.
With such a large frontage to hold, you just cannot do it. You must make the hard decisions of what to leave alone - just observe, and defend with Force, where you thing the main Soviet line of advance will be, and from where a good backhanded counter-attack will spring from. Reinforcements come in drips (Leo 2A4's) which is just sooo tempting to feed straight into battle, I didn't do it. Better to consolidate for a Btn. attack (using Guderian's maxim - 'Kick em' don't kiss em')
PAH BO-105's will arrive, I used IN MASS as flying 'Fire brigades' away from Soviet Flak zones, these will decimate Tank Co's/Btn's.
Thank you MR for the time and effort for such a large undertaking, it worked!!

RE: Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
I remember playing this [:)]
It was pretty good. A hard fight as NATO and you really have to look after the PAH-1s.
Might play this again with the 11.4 Beta, see how it flies.

RE: Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
Thanks Capn. I'm quite confused about what to do with new scenarios. Not sure why I couldn't find this scenario or any instructions about what to do with it in the mods and scenarios section. Is there a sticky with instructions somewhere that I am missing? I finally found a directory that looked like the one that I should add the .scn file to - .../Steam/SteamApps/common/Flashpoint Campaigns Red Storm/Modules/FPRS/Scenarios
But when I attempt to load the scenario I get the error shown below. Is there any information about how to add new scenarios?
Thanks,
Chris

My guess Chris is you don't have the map due to not having Germany Reforged.

RE: Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
Sorry, but I thought the map and the scenario were great, but presently not pleasant to play because the map scrolling is so awful with a map that big. The recommendation to keep it at a certain zoom means I can't see it well enough on my laptop screen. I'm hoping in the future bigger maps will move around smoother. Then I'll be able to play this one. Thanks though.

RE: Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
Peter, I would suggest poking around with the scroll settings in the options. Try setting for smaller increments and times I'll try to post my setting later tonight if I can. That may help.

RE: Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
The scenario is good, even if somewhat cumbersome to play. The main difficulty for me is to change the initial setup in such a large map. I strongly suggest you enable the Alt key to shift a whole group of units with a single command. This might be convenient even for the standard scenarios.
I have played without changing the initial setup to avoid the pain, achieving all the same a good result, but this is not always possible.
I think that now and then these scenarios can be welcome.

RE: Early Tuesday Morning Scenario Feedback
Thanks for the tip Renato. I didn't know you could do that. I would appreciate a view of your settings, Capn Darwin. Thanks.
