I guess I don't get out on to the Internet much (never heard of the 'photoshop argument'); the comments section is pitiful yet funny. Someone commented here the other day about how nice this board is in comparison to many other parts of the Internet, and I think that is quite true.

Yes. It is very impressive. I followed this project for the past 3.5 years. Mitsui deserve an Oscar or even better Nobel Prize. :)

And I had problems with standard 1:200. LOL

Both of these models are amazing.  Comparing the Lego model's "waterline" hull to the full hull of the museum model, you are reminded of how much of a ship you don't usually see when it's afloat. 
There is no overkill. There is only "open fire" and "reloading."

Lego doesn't custom make the parts you need anymore.
Watched a documentary on beavers. Best dam documentary I've ever seen.
