Even at sale prices they are not good prices in Canada because our dollar tanked. New AAA games are now $80.00 CAD on Steam. Nope, never paying those prices and will wait for the CAD to climb again.

I had to contribute this game, on my wishlist for a while and now real CHEAPPPPPPP

$1.89 for AI War
http://store.steampowered.com/app/40400

Has good reviews...Could be a good alternative game, but I`m worried its very complicated to get my head around. What do you think? The price is [:D]

For $1.89 how can you lose! If you can't get your head around it (I think you can [:)]) you can always gift it to one of your friends. [;)]

Yes this is a fantastic piece of programmed software. Takes a bit of time to get into but many tutorials on youtube help.
I've spent all my gaming time the last days playing AI.....And Im having the best blast I've had in ages..........Highly recommended ...and the Bundle price is 3.22 Euro, thats 81% off CRAZYYYYY

I thought about trying Shogun: Total War again and looked up on YouTube how folks over there had passed tutorials (I never passed archers vs swordsmen). Didn't find any :(

[edit]
Could it be that patches had changed unit statistics so much that those changes unbalanced that scenario making it no-win?
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

"The Age of Decadence" is on sale at 40% off! [:)] Sale ends March 28th! An RPG-Indie-Turned Based-Tactical-Isometric game that has been well received. From the devs: "It’s a very different game than anything you’ve ever played. I’m sure you’ve noticed that the RPG genre hasn’t really been explored yet and most RPGs follow the formula that didn’t change in 20 years. While there were always games that strayed off the beaten path – Darklands, Planescape: Torment, King of Dragon Pass – such games were the exceptions that only reinforced the rule. The Age of Decadence is an experiment, an attempt to explore a different direction, taking you back to the PnP roots of the genre. It doesn’t mean that the game is awesome. In fact, there is a good chance that you won’t like it, precisely because we took too many liberties with the established design." Much more on the Store Page...

New release of Out of the Park Baseball, OOTP 17, is on sale at 35.99.

I've been playing OOTP since 2006 or so. It is a great game that just keeps getting better. By comparison, I've felt that the other big sports management game, Football Manager (footy, or soccer, not NFL), has actually gone backwards in a couple of ways.

I currently am playing OOTP 16 and it is an awesome game. My Cave Creek Chilitos are 3x playoff contenders, and lost the WS last season. This season, my veterans are starting to show their age, I'm suffering a rut of injuries, and may miss the playoffs. Currently 10 games out of first in July, but my 38 year old Iron Man starter, Jesus Ayala, is still chucking rocks to the tune of a 2.33 ERA. 10/10.

New for OOTP 17 is MLB and MLBPA licenses. All major league and minor league players over the past 100+ years are represented. The majors are uncannily accurate.

Can't recommend enough. Haven't bought yet because I'm still getting mileage out of OOTP 16.

The future football(NFL) game (By the Sideline)interest me. Same engine and GUI. With a 2D look down on the field to watch the plays unfold

I'm interested in it as well but I'm dubious the stats-driven nature of OOTP will work in the NFL. I also miss my college days playing Playmaker football, so my expectations for a football management sim are a bit skewed.

Out of the Park Baseball, OOTP 17 looks great! [:)] Looks like they have added some changes with "New for OOTP 17 is MLB and MLBPA licenses. All major league and minor league players over the past 100+ years are represented." Are there other significant changes?
