[FIXED B806] 1.11B805 - DB442 - Sub doesnt see mines on HF

Shortcut 5 , Virginia.

She is in the middle of minefield , actually, she crossed through it, not she just didn't detect any on HF which is on, she didn't even trigger one,
crossed right atop mine.

Ok, I have some more info about this, she detected 1-2 mines but in very suspicious circumstances..

Overall, strange behavior...

Here Virginia managed to detonate 1-2 mines but here still not detecting any yet.

Here, she finally detected one , little later another one , speed was 0.
...
In the middle of 'something' she refused manually set speed and got to auto cruise of 20kts in some auto-plotted course..
maybe tried evading that mine , she didn't calm down until I've turned 'Auto evasion' off.

So... Is this a bug or are you just surprised that mines are somewhat difficult to detect?

At the risk of being rude, my impression suggests it's the latter.

I was just adding new info which came up, I still believe it is a bug , let me get this straight , I'm no expert in ASW ,
but I still have some rtfm in general ASW , and played many sub sims since '90. (688 attack sub, das boot, 688Hunter-killer, Dangerous waters(ra)...)
Even you cant take Dangerous Waters for granted because of flawed physics and it's still a game , there actually is some percentage of reality factor.

I believe that you can still 'see' (detect) an object through HF sonar even at 30+kts,
but here (i guess moored) mines were undetectable until full stop , 0 kts , so it could be that there is an error in detection scheme.

In other save Virginia set off 2 undetected mines from 55-62meters , and continued unharmed, not registered any damage,
so.. would you be surprised with that outcome?
