Game locked up - Twice same issue

Cheers
Cannot supply saved game, as game locked up (twice)
Playing Revenge for Bruno as Germans
Turn 2 Prep fire phase
German AFV had broken main armament
Went to fire mgs at Russian unit
Armament window was "grayed out"
scenario locked up.

Happened twice with the same AFV
The open top German AFV with a Main Gun
Not the PzIV or the AFV with 2 mgs

You probably did but did you hit ESC when you got the grayed-out display?

Yes, happened again and...
Yes, hitting <ESC> returned control of the game...
