Electronic Warfare - 100 Group

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Electronic Warfare - 100 Group

Will 100 Group be fully implemented in a next patch or expansion?

I ask because I seem there are missing any squadrons in 100 Group:

Are there any other things missing to EW functionality? Have all EW features already been implemented?

EW is modeled to some extent and works automatically (radars, detectors, navigation, etc).

There were plans to include separate EW air groups (they were in at some point of testing) and add more detailed EW implementation, but due to the lack of time it never happened. We can get back to it at some point, but probably not sooner than some WITW expansion.

So all historical EW squadrons are already like implemented and some of them (like missing squadrons of 100 Group) work automatically?

They are there, but have no any particular meaning as all EW functions are abstracted.

Does that abstraction include the see-saw nature of EW during the war? In mid 1943 the introduction of window demolished the effectiveness of the German defences, but they recovered rapidly and by early 1944 had to all intents and purposes defeated Bomber Command as the EW balance of EW was firmly in favour of the defenders. Yet by late 1944 to the end of the war intelligence coups and the RAF's investment in jamming and deception paid off and the Luftwaffe was once again largely impotent at night.

Yes. Radar/detector/radar jam efficiency is changing depending on the date.
