Thomas, he was the producer of most of The Beatles albums and a terrific musicologist!

Lest we forget, Sir George Martin was also an observer with the Fleet Air Arm in 1944-1945.

You may not know his name, but you've almost certainly heard his work. Not only was he heavily involved in the production of the Beatles' albums, he was a force in many other musical works, including the James Bond songs "Goldfinger" and "Live and Let Die".
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Big LOL, I thought it was George R.R. Martin until I clicked the link. I learned about the fifth Beatle when I was 11 or 12. Rolling Stone did a great article about Martin. They chronicled the songs he wrote or helped write with the Beatles. He even filled in on drums for Ringo Star. Big loss.

To my recollection, George Martin never played for Ringo. What is your source? [&:] From the "Beatles Bible", "Unhappy with Ringo's drumming, Martin made them re-record Love Me Do a week later with session drummer Andy White. When it reached number 17 in the charts, Martin brought them back into the studio to record a follow-up."
