I am trying to play Bardufoss Blues and Trondheim Express, but i am finding that the Soviet ship groups do not fire on my ships at all, which means i can drive right up next to them and just pepper them with gunfire until they die, which sort of ruins the immersion.

I did, however, switch to WP and then turn on opportunity targets firing, and they blew up half my ships in 5 minutes with all the vampires, hahaha.

I had the same thing happen in a scenario where i commanded a french frigate and destroyer which needs to intercept war supplies heading for Algerian rebels. When i found the supply convoy they had a pretty potent threat escorting it and i expected once my ships got into a gunfight with it that they'd take at least a fair amount of damage (ships had no ASM during this time, cant remember name of scenario) but my ships just pounded what was an Egyptian frigate to pieces without taking fire back. Think this was due to opportunity fire set to no.

Might just be what mission the scenario author chose to use. ASuw Patrols focus on surface targets and ASW patrols on Subsurface while sea control missions focus on both. Obviously WRA/WCS settings can impact this as well.

Ok just took a look.

Soviet amphibious group is on a plotted course (thus no mission logic other than to travel). Scenario author should turn the opportunity fire ROE on for the amphibious group.

This being said we've been changing logic as the game has grown so take it easy on him and point all the moaning and groaning our way.
