Aircrafts destroyed on the ground

Post by boudi »

Game against AI, after turn 5, why i still have aircrafts destroyed on the ground ?

1) Now I don't move my Airbases,
2) These airbases are in the rear of my front, and AI did not bomb my airfields, every turn (i checked with F11 on)

It's with the road to Leningrad scenario (not the great campaign) , soviet side against german AI, and i lost 300 aircrafts per turn, due to "lost on the ground".

Very strange...

Any idea ?

Thanks

I've got an idea. I validated YES for some bomber models for flying during the night, and these models are not classified "Night Fighter (NF)". Maybe these aircraft "lost on the ground" crashed to the ground on landing ?

Maybe those air bases were forced to relocate by enemy action during AI turn? All damaged planes on such bases are lost and classified as lost on the ground.

No it's impossible, all my airbases are 20 hex behind my frontline.

Could you post a screenshot of your air losses screen? Maybe write offs count as destroyed on the ground?

Maybe a damaged aircraft which wasn't repairable? It may have been damaged by early bombings and failed repair some turns later.
