Single Maps & Empty Space

I understand the whole pattern of the template for the maximum of 12 maps. But if you have only a single map there is a lot of scrolling as it is set up vertically but you have all this empty space allotted to map 2.

Would it be possible with a single map scenario to rotate the map on its side - lot less scrolling etc.

Sorry no, it's the limitation of the game engine...
