Using Coupon Codes or Gift Cards

Post by IainMcNeil »

If you have a coupon code or gift card here is how it works.

* Select the games you want to buy and add them to your cart
* On the checkout page you'll see a box labelled "Coupon Code"
* Enter your code in this box and click "Recalculate"
* The price will update to show the new price

Please remember you cannot use a coupon code or gift card in conjunction with any other coupon code or gift card. The system only allows one coupon per order.

If you have any questions please let us know.

You should be able to click on a little trash icon or reduce the number to 0. If its the only item in the cart there is a bug in Plimus that means it sometimes wont let you remove it till you add something else. They've not been able to fix it for some reason so for this and various other reasons we are stripping out their cart and developing our own.

Hello, Are the coupons good for one year? I do not see an expiration date?
Can I expect to get a "Birthday" coupon every year or every seven years?
Can I use a coupon to purchase other 'on sale' items?

I think I'll hold on to mine until the next one comes out.
Putting the nonexistent expiration date to the test...that'll teach em!

The anniversary coupons are valid for up to 60 days - somehow;

You have 30 days for retrieving the coupon code, then the code is valid for another 30 days.

DOH!

That is not the way it was explained to me. I was told "once I redeem my coupon I have 30 days"

Yes, for using the coupon you have 30 days - but look at the last line in the e-mail you got. In my case, I got the e-mail whith the link to the coupon on Jan 19, and here's the last line in my e-mail;
This offer will expire on 2/18/2016

I clicked the link for the coupon on Feb 16 - and then I read this;
Your coupon is valid for 30 days so don’t delay. Enjoy your great new games!

In other words, I have time until March 16.

I see no such thing. I received mine back in Nov. I think it might have been an after thought (expiration date). No matter. I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

You get awarded them for various things such as helping out in a beta test, long service etc.

I have a 41% off anniversary code and am trying to buy Tigers on the Hunt, but coupon code message comes up at top of screen as not being recognised.

I had a problem with receiving coupon code in the first place, and Matrix resolved it by sending me a new email with link to receive code, this seemed to work fine the second time.

But now im trying to buy something the code is not being recognised, don't think the coupon code is actually showing in my Matrix Account either.

Just open a tech support ticket or contact http://www.matrixgames.com/support/ with your problem and they will provide you with more help on it, it maybe just a popup issue or browser etc

Ive had it sorted now thanks to Joe in support. The problem was that 41%- was first part of my coupon code, I was leaving that part of code off

Have now bought Tigers on the Hunt with 41% off.

I've just had a coupon code for 21% discount for 6 years membership. If I use it to buy a game from slitherine store, will I get a steam code for the game? Im planning on buying polaris sector which does exist on steam, but really, for the sake of tidyness and convenience id buy the steam version even at 20% more. Just checking to see what i will get before i press buy.
