Failed to create LOS image

Post by kylania »

Apparently I can't post what I'm trying to post due to forum time post limits. That's stupid. (apparently 3 3 3 0 after i5 make it think i was posting a phone number.. grr.)

I can't create the LOS image and the game crashes when I start a scendario. I'm well above the system requirements. Is there anything that can fix this?

I have an i5 3GHz, 32bit with 4GB of RAM on Windows 7 Pro with Intel HD Graphics with 1.5GB of RAM.
Specs which are well above the system requirements. However when I start a scenario after choosing sides I get this error:

"Failed to create a LOS image (2480 x 5310 pixels) due to not enough GRAPHICS memory on the video card, Tigers on the Hunt will now terminate."

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8 )
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments (zip) rather than pasted into the body of the post.

lets take a look

Which resolution are you using on your computer?

Could be a driver issue. What that message means, is that the Video Card will not allow 2480 x 5310 pixels image to be created in the video card memory.

Here's the DXDiag. :)

Running my PC at 1920x1080 but have tried editing the configuration file to various supported resolutions and all gave the same error.

Upgraded drivers to the ones from late Jan 2016 and all seems well now! Thanks!

Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
DAC type: Internal
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0152&SUBSYS_20358086&REV_09
Display Memory: 1586 MB
Dedicated Memory: 128 MB (which is below the games min req to run) DirectX compliant video card with minimum of 256MB of RAM this is the minimum of base memory, not shared system memory, even with shared memory, with out any HD space for cache, pagefile and temp files, what the o's needs it self to run, is borderline or imo too low.

Shared Memory: 1458 MB
Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

Current Mode: 1920 x 1080

driver could also do with a update 5/7/2013

Code: Select all

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24970/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-32bit

is a newer driver for your onboard chip, but it's using system ram as it doesn't meet the min requirements maybe for the game, while it may work with more hard driver space, imo you are border line with anything i can offer to help

Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 3428MB RAM
Page File: 3582MB used, 3833MB available

Free Space: 5.2 GB which is you page and swap file drive unless altered, which isn't enough either imo, you need to free up some space or will get more of the same errors.

no game reported error's in the log either, so can't comment on any error codes as none are present.

developer maybe able to offer more advice, as he knows what is more of the minimum req that i do tbh
