Are there any books on WWII in the extreme arctic? I couldn't find any on Amazon.
By extreme arctic, I mean Jan Mayen, Svalbard, Greenland, etc.

I was a little confused by the article (apart from the reference to fighter jets!).

The author seemed to indicate that the Germans didn't have a presence on the island (and tried to take it in 1940) but that even after the Americans built 'Atlantic City' in 1943 the Germans occupied the north of the island
