WITP AE won't load

Running a windows 7 machine here, and have two installations of WITP AE on it for stock and da babes.

Yesterday everything ran fine.

Today, when I try to load the game the screen goes black, with a roving dialog box that says Driver Not Supported or something like that.

I took a screen picture of the error message, but lo and behold when I paste it into Paint I get the basic WITP AE loading screen. Que eerie music please....something from the x-files perhaps.[:D]

I can alt-tab out of the error message and close WITP AE down just fine.

Everything else seems to work on the computer.

Checked connections, powered down and back up again. I am off for a reinstall now. Ugh.

Something tells me that an AE reinstall isn't the most obvious first thing to try.

I would try a Windows system restore (are you running virtual Windows through Linux still?), followed by a manual driver reinstall.

No,that version runs fine.

This is straight windows7.

Anyhow, the reboot, reinstall fixed whatever conflict was happening.

Probably a bad display driver update. Nvidia?
