Instantly reminded me of an old movie made about the PTO where an American and Japanese were stranded on a Pacific island and had to work together to survive. Can remember neither the actors, nor the movies' name. As for this one can't say too much more just from the trailer.

Great, now I have another movie to buy since I haven't seen this in 35+ years.

Yes you are correct. I wonder when YouTube will notice the copyright issue?

That's funny, I actually melded the two as I was thinking Frank Sinatra and Lee Marvin were, or could have been in it.[:D]

Lee Marvin was such an erudite and accomplished gentleman. No, I mean really.

Watched it on netflix a year or two ago. Say's it is based on a true story, I thought it was better than many bigger-budget movies.

Toshiro Mifune was kind of cute too. If I could grow a beard that good, I would.

As a kid, Lee Marvin was one of my favorite actors. Under rated.

I saw him in "The Icecream Man Cometh." He was real good. "The Big Red One" seemed pretty lame to me and Mark Hamill was really lame in it. But the sequence with Lee and the boy liberated from the concentration camp is the whole movie to me. By the way, that horse he's on (above) did a pretty good acting job as well. [:D]

I believe he turned down the role of Obi Wan Kenobi.
