Graphics on SPWaW

Post by zasgard »

So, this is what I understand about the game.

The Shrapnel version is enhanced graphics, while Major Mess's version is the lower graphics version but with tons more bells and whistles and very updated?

Thanks

For crying out loud... Shrapnel's Steel Panthers games, WinSPWW2 and WinSPMBT, are different games. Those were created from source code of Steel Panthers 2. What Major Mess offers is nothing more than SPWAW ( = Steel Panthers: World at War) reinforced with mods (Enhanced) and some new scenarios & campaigns, all in one installer file. SPWAW itself was created by Matrix Games from source code of Steel Panthers 3.

Both SPWAW and SPWW2 were created at about the same time (SPWW2 was little earlier) and some people worked on both of them. WinSPWW2 still gets new updates. SPWAW is officially finished game that does not get official updates anymore. What Major Mess does is unofficial modding.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.
