Windows 10: graphic driver problems

Post by invernomuto »

Hi,
I've just upgraded my Acer laptop to Windows 10 but I have some graphical issues with WITW: the game freezes for some seconds, the O.S. complains that it had to restart the integrated graphic card driver then the game unfreezes and it's playable again.
It happens several time during arial and land movement phases.
The game is playable but it's an annoying issue...

Yesterday downloaded the new Windows 10 drivers from Acer site but I have still the same problem.

My laptop specs:

Acer Aspire V3-772G

Intel i7
8 Gb RAM
integrated Intel Hd 4600 + Nvidia GTX 950M discrete GPU

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance,
Davide.

May be it is possible to disable one of the GPU in the BIOS?

I've read that in some laptop disabling the Intel GPU is not wise as it also controls the discrete GPU, so it could lead to bigger problems (like Windows refusing to start).
I could try to force WITW to use ONLY NVidia GPU, maybe it's possibile via NVIDIA control panel.
I'll try and let you know.

Regards

Using Nvidia Control Panel I forced the WITW.exe to use Nvidia GPU.
Everything seems fine so far.
