You can modify the terrain, units graphics and game sounds but you cannot add new nationalities or a new units. If the game sells reasonably well, I'm thinking of adding Italian and French nationalities for the expansion.

Possibly, it all depends on how successful the game will be :)

I would like to see the Eastern Front Axis minor and 1939/ 1940 British, French and Polish WAY before Pacific stuff. [:)]

Then walls, hedges, RR tracks, swamps and sewer as terrain features [:D]

Would modders be able to change units in the game? For instance, can someone take a Panzer II and change it's stats and image to make it an Italian M14/41?

Only a beta tester, but I would say no. The stats (FP, armor etc) is hard coded into the exe file and can't be changed.

OK, thanks Richie

I think I might pick up this game, but I wish there was a game out there that had every nations and it's OoB (39-45) or at least a game that was mod-able to allow that.

This game is giving way more content than most systems. For example in Combat Mission just to get all of Normandy you bought a base game and modules - costs quite a bit all of that. And that is not even all the Western Front.

I thought I saw a 1940 date on one of the screen shots, does this mean we can create battles on the Eastern, Western front 1939-45?

nevermind, looking at the units list I can see that we can with Panzer II's listed....easily 1940-45

This game is for sure a purchase for me.

Now, to find a PC game that covers North Africa and/or the Pacific war

No, the victory screen will just show 2 AFVs destroyed (the screen only shows quantity). During the scenario you will be playing, you will have access (through different interface) to your complete order of the battle, where you will see exactly what AFVs, squads, guns where destroyed in what hex.

Peter has done most of the Axis and Allied vehicles. No jeeps or trucks. I am working on him for them - LOL!

This game is a keeper IMO. As for Pacific there is a few squad based PC games out there already [;)]

The editor is solid. My only complaint would be that there are too many building types/shapes. Now that being said, its never a bad thing to have too much of something. ;o)

I see roads in the video ... is there anything smaller such as paths (or was there no real need)?
