Getting the AI to use nukes?

I set up a scenario where the Soviet player attacks two NATO improved positions each with a battalion of NATO troops.
The Soviet player gets similar forces but also two nukes.

When I play vs. Soviet AI, it just bleeds dry on my defences and doesn't use the nukes. Also, I tried to give the nuclear strike order in the scenario editor but the AI ignores it in game.

What to do?

AI is not currently capable of using WMDs. That is planned for Southern Storm.

No. Requires a whole new mechanism in the game and we still plan to add it to Southern Storm with the new game engine.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

So as Southern Storm is upgraded Red Storm will not be? Are there going to be two different game engines out there or will Red Storm be brought up to Southern Storm's Engine?

Our plan, not set in stone yet, is to update the Red Storm materials (including Germany Reforged) to work with the New Southern Storm game engine. All the when's, how's, and other particulars will be figured out down the road as Southern Storm takes shape. With all the changes and new features on tap, the conversions aren't trivial. [8D]
