The road to v1.10: Steam Workshop

With the release of v1.10 one important new feature is Steam Workshop integration, giving players a new avenue to share and discover scenarios!

One quick note we here at Warfare Sims would like to point out that the new Steam Workshop functionality will in no way supersede the existing scenario distribution channels (the community scenario pack and the matrix scenario forum). The wildly successful community scenario pack showcases the very best of the scenarios released to date and will continue to be released periodically with additional updates. In fact highly rated Steam Workshop scenarios will find their way into the community scenario pack.

That's a great feature to add! Will really streamline getting community scenarios onto our machines.

I think this is a great idea… I hope there will be some better way for organizing all the scenarios we have… and will have in to the future… I believe there should be an attribute to the scenario author in the title also....

This is especially good for us scenario designers who have itchy update fingers (since it allows content to be auto-updated to latest versions). Definitely a very good idea! [:)]

For NI-only players, this will be a huge tease.

Any word on when version 1.10 will be released? Sometime in January?

This is absolutely why Workshop should subsume the Community Pack. Auto-updating and subscription to community content is what makes Steam Workshop a cut above 'just another download source'
