Memory Leak?

Post by AnthonyJAttard »

Got this error while playing:
Access violation at address 0040CFE8 in module 'FPRS.exe'. Read of address FFFFFFFE.

I close the error window and after a few times it goes away, but when the map scrolls it happens again. Also when a unit moves or acts its icon disappears and then reappears.

Also this in error logs:

Event Name: RADAR_PRE_LEAK_WOW64

This indicates a memory leak.

Just updated NVida drivers and SoundBlaster Drivers on Win 10 64bit

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

you seem to have more than a few issues with windows update on the pc as well, was it a update from a older version of windows by any chance?

so you have any other errors to mention? have you tried running in admin mode in windows compatibility mode for different versions?
Follow these methods and check if it helps:
Method 1:
The Windows Update Troubleshooter fixes some problems with Windows Update, and it might resolve this error for you.
Follow these steps:
a. On the Start search, type 'find and fix problems' and choose 'Find and Fix problems'.
b. Click on 'System and Security' and click 'Windows update'.
c. Follow the onscreen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

then on a reboot see if that sorts the issues with windows first, then see if it helps the game second, as 90+% of your errors are windows based ones i'm sorry to say

WER1 is game, with 2 to 9 being windows errors, fix windows ones first, then when all is clean, except WER1 error, re try game, then and only then will you know if it's game or not tbh
