Showing my age

Post by typhoon »

So far really enjoying everything about this game. However I do have one small nit pick and that's the blue headings of each section of the rulebook. Though clearly intended to add a bit of flavour I find myself looking for a translator to decipher them have had to resort to wearing my glasses to work them out some I seldom do when playing the computer.

That handwriting is unrecognizable. Obviously it is not age related but indicate very poor choice of font. Even my doctor handwriting is more readable than this.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing earlier when I was reading the manual. Who's idea was it to use that font? However, I guess we're lucky that the game is so good, that we are nitpicking the manual instead.

It was hard at first, but I figured it out by reading the text below the heading!
"Venimus, vidimus, Deus vicit" John III Sobieski as he entered Vienna on 9/12/1683. "I came, I saw, God conquered."
He that has a mind to fight, let him fight, for now is the time. - Anacreon

Agree that a better font would have done wonders!

Just to add it's not the manual I'm nit picking just those blue headings. The manual itself is very good both in content and length particularly like the square tool tip type boxes which give very handy pearls of wisdom
