Newb Question about Victory Points

I just bought the game yesterday, and really enjoying it so far (when I enjoy the manual, it's usually a good sign). I'm going through the first tutorial, and I just won my first victory--a marginal victory. It says that I need 60 points for a major victory. But I can only find two victory hexes, at 25 points each. Is there another way to score points that I am missing?

You can also collect points by eliminating opposing forces.

But you also lose points for casualties that you suffer, correct? So you need to pay attention to losses as well as enemy kills.

Thanks for the responses. Since asking this question I noticed that all of these factors are mentioned in the Victory Conditions box. I don't know why I didn't notice that before. But I appreciate the help!
