How many regulars know about this?

Post by HansBolter »

We get many threads from both newbies and regulars asking for a list of the hotkeys.

One is running in the War Room now.

How many of you regulars know that a hotkey was remapped to show us a graphic of the hotkey list along with an off board movement distances chart?

The 'M' key was remapped to show this graphic instead of the design credits which were moved to the game start up routine.

Not sure if it was done in the official update or one of michalem's latest betas. (I am using 1125d).

This is the screen I get when I hit the 'M' key now:

It apparently may not be available to all.

In the thread in the War Room some are telling me it must be resulting form a mod I am playing.

I know nothing about programming, but it seems odd that a mod which is nothing more than a variant scenario could cause a credits page to start showing up in the game start up routine, which is where I see it now.

Be nice to get a confirmation if this is coming from a mod or from the latest beta executable, which is 1125.4 or 1125d.

Chemkid chimed in on the thread in the War Room to point out his mod is the original source of my access to this item.

Sorry everyone doesn't have access, but I recommend copying the graphic and either posting it on your side monitor or printing it and posting it on your wall.

Enjoy!

I also recommend using Chemkid's beautiful map that comes with this change. It's great!

What I would find very useful would be an off-map base to on-map distance chart.
