Considering the download only is 49.99, for only $15 more you get the download and huge printed manual seems that's the way to go.

Yep
Full printed manual for me. The game seems easy to get going with but there is a lot going on under the hood and I love the immersion of a big manual

Printed manual for me too. At over 300 pages, I'd rather not print on my inkjet printer :)

Printed manual for me - call me old school, but I enjoy reading the ins and outs of games in printed form. I remember the manuals of the days long ago...Microprose and the like.

Didn't even notice the option :-( Can it be bought separately? I'm so used to buying "digital" and not physical that printed manual didn't occur to me.

I'm 46 been gaming back when games were games and came with real manuals. Only way to go - old school all the way.

Nope. Digital version was fine for me.

No need.

Have my notebook with the e-manual open to one side, while playing the game on my 32" monitor in front.

Besides, the postage to Europe would be huge...

Disappointed with the Canadian price which is $70.99 for the digital download and $91.99 with the boxed edition. That's a lot of cash to fork-out when Wars Of Napoleon is to be released on December 3rd. Also doesn't help that I've exceeded my annual war budget I had intended to buy both titles, but not at this price. Hopefully WON will be a reasonable price If not I'll have to do without both titles. I really do appreciate the hard work and effort that goes into these titles and I'm excited at the direction Decisive Campaigns is going. Fingers crossed for a sale soon.

Are they planning a steam release? Steam exchange rate is much more advantageous for Canadians than Matrix website.

I agree MrFreeze, Steam prices are more advantageous than Matrix prices for us in Canada. The other titles from the developer are on Steam, so I would hazard a guess that this one will be also in due time.

Hi,

Steam won't be for a while.

If you can afford to stretch that far, the hard cover book is well worth the extra.

Cheers,

I ordered the physical copy. Or rather my better half did. It's my birthday next week and she didn't know what to get me so I asked her to buy me this. I have the physical copy of War In The West and I love the manual. It adds a whole new dimension to owning the game.

She says she is going to gift wrap the manual as it's a present but I can play the digital download in the time being. [:)]

I played a little last night and I'm loving it. It's a great game. Hopefully we'll see some more wargame/RPG's in the future.
