Chemical delivery methods

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Chemical delivery methods

Post by Monkie »

In the editor I see that both sides have nuclear capability but didn't find any systems that could deliver chemical weapons. Am I missing something?

Getting back into the game with 2.10, very much enjoying the update.

Soviets have the ability to use non-persistent chem from some rocket systems and persistent chem from SSMs. They are listed in the Strategic Assets section of the formations list.

I'll have to look again. Is it still true that the AI will not use chemical or nuclear weapons?

Found the Chemical unit for the Soviet side, did not see it used in a quick scenario. I did try the US Nuke missle unit and WOAH, that was worth the price of admission.

Correct the AI will not use NBC weapons in the Red Storm engine.

Why??

Will it use them if the human player uses them first?

Missing out on a whole new dimension of play here........

Rob,

That will be corrected in the next iteration of the game engine where we will have better means to control the release and use of WMDs. [8D]
