We appreciate the effort. But you need something that tells us why this game is fun.
I know that seems like a nasty remark, but an explanation about why we would want learn all this might be nice.

I mean, do I really want to be the quartermaster in a game?

It's like walking into sushi restaurant and then have the waiter explain to you why you would need sushi :)

But okay. Maybe you should read a game review or something?

the good thing is you can play this game at a number of levels. The supply rules - ie delivery, storage and usage - follow what you would expect. A huge army in a region with poor communications and small depots will struggle regardless. As an eg, try putting the main allied effort in late 44/early 45 through the Vosges/Jura. Equally the air war you can hand 100% to the AI, let the AI guide you (with trade offs as to the level of manual control) or micro manage manually.

so you can place yourself where you want in the level of detail. The reward is an engaging and challenging exercise in managing (or resisting) the application of strategic warfare, long term planning and trying to make the most of fine differences between the armies at the operational and tactical level.

Oh and the 1942/3 N Africa scenarios are simply great fun, streamlined, low intensity etc

This is great stuff but, I'll never read any of it because it is online. Is there a PDF to download?

Quick update to add Gunnulf's excellent AAR to the list of links.

Sorry but I don't have time to create PDF versions of even my own tutorials and wouldn't want to create them for others work unless I got permission. Just use cut and paste into a word document and read that way?

As for the odd comment about needing something about why the game is fun. That is not the purpose of this thread, it's just a list of threads (nothing more or less) that can help people, that ALREADY know they want to play, to improve their understanding etc. It's your own job to decide if the game is for you (checkout reviews etc) and if you want to read the tutorial threads or AARs. So either read or don't, your choice [:D].
