The Soviet Union is very unhappy with the war in the Far East, and has sent forces into Chinese territory to try and settle things down. We have offered to withdraw these troops if Japan and China can make peace.

Germany and Italy are strong nations, well led, and with no reason to prepare for war. The Soviet Union has not raised any offensive troops, although we are training some engineers as we feel some extra fortified areas will increase stability for all.

If Japan and China can find peace we have a chance of finishing this decade in peace, and avoiding war in the 1940's.

The peace loving People of the Chinese Republic have welcomed our fellow workers of the USSR into our country to throw the aggressor nation of bandits back from our cities and countryside.

In response to the Emperors criminals who are illegally occupying Chinese lands:

Your henchman continue to spout falsehoods and lies about the death of innocents at the hands of Chinese Generals during the so-called "Boxer Rebellion", and at the same time your armies of terror slaughter innocent CHINESE men, women, and children without ceasing. The world is not fooled by your criminal behavior and your rationalizations.

Italy wins over Yugoslavia the first nation to be peacefully converted to the Axis cause. Germany continues frenzied diplomatic activity let us hope it bares fruit.

So the British have sent troops to China? How is that a peaceful settlement...that sounds more like WAR. But China chose war not Japan. How the British can join with someone that says ALL foreign troops must leave China claimed territory when China claims Hong Kong and French Indochina as well as Korea and Muchudko (spelling still wrong) is somewhat confusing.

The Soviet Union has initiated contact with Imperial Japan about peace with China.

The world could be at peace if this bloody Asian conflict could be settled.

Now is the chance to give peace a chance.

The Germans have formed the 1st SS Infantry army as a way of thanking these men for their contribution to the Reich and in anticipation of greater contributions to come.

Germany is ecstatic at the Soviet Unions intervention in the Far East, Germany encourages Stalin to be more active in world affairs, and hopes that Stalin will intervene in many more parts of the globe, in the interests of world peace of course.

Germany joined by Italy attacked France August 1938, Versailles will be avenged Germany will now take its rightful place as a power in Europe, its army in a prison and reduced to a paltry 100,000 men will show why Germany are a force to be reckoned with and not marginalized by the Plutocrats of the Western world.

I am sorry about the restart for the Soviets. I gave myself an hour till a Windows update. I guess I should have chosen four hours.

I was just writing a note to the Chinese, and had to do the whole turn again.

The British and French air forces launched a series of suicidal raids aagainst German airbases. Despite huge losses we were able to neutralize the Luftwaffe airbases, we expect the Luftwaffe will be unable to support the German offensive next turn. There is lot of German U-Boat activity in the Atlantic. More 3 U-Boats sank this turn.

"I would like to propose another fast game, where each player will try and do their turn the day it hits Dropbox. Game 12 was a "fast game" and it went well."

Is this game now fast in name only.

Lyon resisted a infantry assault by 1st Infantry army battles were won on the French Northern plains by German armor but these were significant only in the drip effect they have on French front line strength. The attacks on German front line airbases had the desired effect of suppressing German Ju87 and Fighters on the front line the medium range bombers however were unaffected with sufficient fighter to escort them. So not a spectacular month for the Germans but a solid laying the foundations month. The allies will no doubt replace the tactical bombers and fighters lost in this months suicidal attacks.

The Soviet Union has withdrawn almost all troops from her good ally China, who is now at peace.

China and Japan are both good neighbors of the Soviet provinces in East Asia, and we hope the peace is long lasting and beneficial.

December 1938 Germany/Italy

Paris falls. With the shield of France the Maginot line gone, France looks to its sword to save it, has the sword a cutting edge ?

Italy spars with the Royal Navy neither side showing to much for fear of losing it, the Mediteranean is a sea of wolves woe be to the sheep.
