Build 757.7 now available

Post by Dimitris »

Download from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B205vp ... sp=sharing

Extract to your Command folder, answering "yes" to any overwrite questions.

This will also soon become available through Steam, but if you are a Steam user and in a real hurry you can just extract this to the installation folder of the Steam version.

Changes:
-----------
* FIXED: Contact uncertainty areas firming-up too rapidly (This was a really hard issue to pin down, and we thank everyone who reported this!).
* Includes a number of performance tweaks.

Is there a difference in the Command game engine software in releases via Steam and those via the Matrix/Slitherine/Ageod Bluesnap online store?

Thanks in advance for the answer.
Take care,

If the build number is the same then no, there shouldn't be any differences in functionality as the executable is exactly the same.

Thanks!

Probably a dumb ?, but

Should the build number change with the updates? I still show 7.57.2 even tho I updated to 757.7.

Thanx

Yes it will change.
Make sure you unzip files in to the game's install directory (or the equivalent one for Stream)

The NI #3 file seems to be earlier than than the posted fix file. The file in the build zip is missing the fix to the scoring.

Thanks for the notice, Michael. Added most recent fixed file to the pack, re-uploaded and updated link on OP.

Since this latest update, the messages start at the bottom of the screen not as they did in any other update

Thanks for keeping the game updated and supporting it. I wrote a review on steam to show my appreciation.

[:(] I downloaded 757.7 as soon as released and restarted NI #3

Took out 3x RK Osa before finding out that the F-5A's can't/won't fire their 2nd Bullpup missile.

Then carried on and killed:
> 1x BDK Alligator [Pr.1171 Tapir]
> 1x BDK Ropucha I [Pr.775]
> 1x SDK Polnocny C [Pr.773]
But got no score!

I missed the fact that #3 had been updated shortly after 757.7 was released.
I had played it on earlier builds and got no score, I guess I'll need to start it again (4th time), but think I'll wait a day or two.

B757.8 (and the freshly released B757.9) have the updated NI#3 scenario file, please give it a try.
