Thank you sir, is the process hard to do. Is there a step by step write up to follow so i can do this in the future.

Actually i think i'll cut down one of those large maps provided, do you just resize to cut it down? how can you pick the area you want to cut out? Read about it in the manual, but it doesn't explain how to cut out the part of the map you want.

What you'll need to do is decide on the area you want.

First things first, SAVE THE FILE as something new, so you don't accidently overwrite the master files

Not the coordinates of the top left corner of the area you want (say 104,340)

Extent --> Shift

Enter X -104 and Y -340

Press OK

It will shift the map to the top left corner of the area you want

Extent --> Resize

Enter X 40 and Y 40 (or whatever values you want the new map size to be

Press OK

Map is now resized to the area you wanted.

No problem at all!
