Naval losses last 2 days. We sank Arare with SBD's from Tanna.
KB gone for two days. Last time this happened it was the old double back trick.

FAM: Wait, you mean to tell me that when what's his name called a disengagement, Nevada had only 14% main gun ammo with two turrets completely out and Oklahoma had only 6% with three turrets out?
Navy dude: Yes sir.
FAM: And the destroyer screen was disorganized or disabled so he feared enemy torpedo attack?
Navy dude: Yes, sir.
FAM: Look, I'm beginning to think I may have been a bit rash with what's his name. Send him some flowers and a case of scotch.

Yes sirree Bob, the Brits will be here any minute. Soon....
Where can you find pleasure
Search the world for treasure
Learn science technology
Where can you begin to make your dreams all come true
On the land or on the sea
Where can you learn to fly
Play in sports and skin dive
Study oceanography
Sign up for the big band
Or sit in the grandstand
When your team and others meet

14yr old SGIII: I wish you have woken my up earlier.
FAM: You mean "awakened".
14yr old SGIII: I don't care about that, it's the weekend.

Admiral Lord SPrior has gone walkabout and apparently has given cryptic authority to "carry on". Well, let's see what's left of the Royal Navy when he gets back. [:D]

N&IC: 3rd day without the KB. Either we are missing the window to send more guys or we are cleverly refusing their bait. Noumea is going to go to a level 4 airfield in 2-3 days if JJ doesn't do something. 3 fully armed prewar USN BB's are steaming off of Noumea and everyone is getting a nice tan. The new blue officer jackets with the striped red neck kerchiefs look splendid.
We send some DD's to Koumac. 3rd night in a row. This time it works, sort of.
Night Time Surface Combat, near Koumac at 113,156, Range 11,000 Yards
Japanese Ships
AMC Aikoku Maru, Shell hits 5, heavy fires
Allied Ships
DD Litchfield, Shell hits 1
DD Brooks
One DD pretty much just makes it hard to sleep
Night Naval bombardment of Koumac at 113,156
Allied Ships
DD Brooks
DD Brooks firing at 33rd/A Division
Col. Cathcart <in briefing room at Suva International>: Here are the latest recon photos. As you can see, the airstrip is over here between the taro patch and the refuse dump in the NW corner. Here you can see the refueling truck...err...I mean the refueling hand cart. Now, the reporter from Time is going to fly along with...<looks at notes>..Yossarian so we want to be careful and not cause any collateral damage. Right, any questions.
Young hirsute officer: How are we supposed to see anything?
Colonel Cathcart: Why, with the Norden bombsight, of course. The United States Army Air Force has lavishly supplied you with the latest technology.
Young hirsute officer: But it's dark.
Colonel Cathcart: Group predicts a bomber's moon tonight.
Young hirsute officer: Fine, the Moon can have my seat then.
Colonel Cathcart: <leans over and quietly asks Squadron Flight Surgeon> Who is that guy?
Doc Daneeka: That's Yossarian, Colonel.
Colonel Cathcart: Is he crazy or something?
Doc Daneeka: Who, Yosssarian? Naahh, probably the least crazy person here.
Colonel Cathcart: LISTEN UP EVERYONE! Change of plans. the Time reporter will be flying with Nately.

Noumea: We should have started this earler. Quite effective. As you can see, we are "all in" in Noumea. We are ahead in AV but it is a jungle hex. No ground attack yet. The BB's could do serious damage on bombardment but we need a new AE to rearm them. The one at Noumea is still burning.

It looks like you have him outnumbered 1 to 10, but probably due to lack of supply the Japanese forces are armed with coconuts and bamboo staves. Deadly dangerous on Gilligan's Island, otherwise .... interesting. Jungle fighting is easy anyhow.

If they were using the mini-bar, that explains your subsequent illness - although the pain should have been felt more in the wallet area. Were you using a money belt with that cummerbund?ORIGINAL: Cap Mandrake
