If I hide under a neutral say a fishing boat will it help to avoid detection?

No. Masking by other targets hasn't been added yet.

No wonder I tried several attempts by using barge and/or container ship as a shield, and the sea-skimming ASuMs still can hit the target.

Definitely can't wait for the next update of masking.

Radar masking works fine although it general spoofs missiles with active radars. Anything that has dual guidance generally gets through.

Chris was asking about sonar which we don't have masking yet.
