Units.txt or Units.csv

Post by lionel1957 »

Does the game still use units.txt or units.csv with version 1.93 BOB?

How in the world do you edit units.csv?

csv. You can import/edit it into Excel, OpenOffice Calc or Google Sheets. Just set the cell seperator to semicolon

I've trouble about editing units.csv file with Microsoft Office. Game doesn't launch when trying to edit file with it. Anyone has trouble like me? It was far easier for me to do it with former txt option.

Some versions of Excel seems to mess up the file.
Open Office (free download) works fine for me.

Make sure if you export it also uses semicolon as separator, not comma. CSV means "comma separated values" so comma is probably the default, but I assume excel allows you to change that.

Using Google Sheets, I export as TSV (tab separated values) and then do a "replace all > tab > semicolon" on the content.

It seems it works well with latest OpenOffice, setting only semicolon as separator. [:)]
