Open the game installation folder. Find and select a file named Command.exe. Press the right mouse button and select Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab. Tick the option Run this program as an administrator. Click on Apply and Ok. Run Command.exe and check if the issue persists.

I upgraded from Win8.1 to Win10 a few weeks ago, and just updated to the latest Command release and it works fine. If I can answer any specific questions, please let me know.

I bought a new computer with Windows 10. Installation was ok (no Steam). The start window of Command can be opened, but when I press Play nothing happen. Same thing with Command.exe, even launched as administrator.

Make sure you install and watch the install for prompts for directx, .net, etc.

Yeah if you can go back here"

tt.asp?forumid=1279

and work through the command not launching items. As Wood mentioned its typically a missed prerequisite.

If you still have an issue after please let us know.

I also want to point out that you need to pay attention on DirectX install. Sometimes it will ask a question. If you don't respond, it will stop the install, but it will look like it completed.

Thank you a lot, Wood, you are right: DirectX was not installed!
After I installed DirectX Command worked properly.

... but then I updated it with "UpdatePack_B735" and I got this:

Did you check the rest of the prerequisites or stop at DX?

Hello Miky! The last part of setup is not very smooth: it freezes then jumps ahead … but I think both prerequisites were installed.

Nevertheless the basic installation (V. 1.2) works properly, and the problem happens when the game is updated.

This time I uninstalled / reinstalled Command and then used the last patch B741 but the same error occurred …

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe after installing 1.02 you'll neeed to update with 1.08 aand only then update to 1.09RC.

You can download 1.08 from the link below:

Yeah the path is install game, update to 1.08 and then install patch. Let us know if you followed that path but still have issues.

Thanks!

I'm not sure why Microsoft doesn't embed DX, and .Net into the every core MS OS.
Everything seems to require it now.

Hell, Ruby comes pre-installed on Linux, and I'm probably the only person in the world that uses it.
