The mouse that roared

Post by thewood1 »

I was noticing my mouse hesitating on map zooming and panning on my high-end MSI laptop compared to my Surface Pro 3. The Surface was using a Microsoft bluetooth mouse. My laptop is using a cheap Logitech USB mouse.

I played around with several USB and wired mouses on the laptop and nothing scrolled as smoothly as the MS mouse on the SUrface. So I tried the MS mouse on the laptop. HUGE difference in scroll and pan performance. It is now very smooth and easy to use. I never even noticed the issue until I ran Command on my Surface.

The short of it...don't dismiss mouse quality as a root cause for scrolling issues on Command.

I know it's been a year since the post. But thanks, I will give your simple tip a try.

I still stick by the conclusion. I used to buy the cheapest mouse I could find. Now I do a little research and my last mouse was US$75. It has eliminated hesitation and stuttering in multiple games.

Others have noticed too. Please don't do it again, this is a serious Forum and thread titles like this will only encourage demands for Grand Fenwick units in the databases in addition to no doubt bemoaning the lack of longbow (the archery kind) equipped land units. And it begs questions about how CMANO models personal body armour, both chain mail and plate.

We make strenuous efforts to model the differences in airspeed velocity between European and African swallows.

This is acknowledged with much gratitude but there are definitely a lack of coconut capable loadouts and still no holy hand grenades have been implemented as yet. Presumably any Trojan Rabbits will be mobile units rather than fixed facilities, but then you guys generally know what's best.

However, arguably, there is no effective defense against strikes from this fellow. Best tactic is "RUN AWAY, RUN AWAY!"

I heard the Chinese and Russians have released a PR showing a model of a nuclear-powered rabbit that is hack-proof and completely stealth. So it must be real.

I'm curious about the 'Old man from scene 24?' Will he have SOF capabilities? Or will it be more along the lines of incendiary strike?

I understand there is a witch there with a carrot on her nose that will turn you into a newt. But, you get better (eventually) with the help of unrep.

It would be good if the proposed cargo routines allowed for the transfer of shrubberies between ships. Not too big but nice anyway with a little fence around them... Bases and port facilities could also use these around magazines and fuel storage sites. Shrubberies should be independently targetable and immobile but also default to auto-detection ON.

A big factor in cargo routines if if cows are rail-launched or from a VLS.

Don't like shrubberies any more - bring a Herring!

Sorry, with CMANO Build 850.13 We are now the Knights who say..."Ekki-ekki-ekki-ekki-PTANG. Zoom-Boing, z'nourrwringmm."

Please reinstall v1.09 and apply each successive update!

If Herring are modeled, the simulation will be lacking unless the largest trees in the forest are modeled for the herring to chop down and it's a big question whether this can be implemented by the release of Build 850.13. Another issue is if the Bridge of Death facility will be in both DB3000 and the CWDB and whether the old man from Scene-24 is a separate mobile unit. Lua scripting for answering questions three would be a great addition to realism as well.

Should not cows be catapult capable?

I'm pretty sure they are, but I'll have to check if we model them as a cluster (area effect) warhead or HE (point-impact).
