Air combat question

Post by jnoory »

Why is that sometimes more aircraft are reported damaged in an airstrike than actually particpated in it?

Thanks,

Fog of War (your pilots are keen to make sure that all their claims are registered!)

(Also, I can't remember, but an enemy that is damaged then shot down may get claimed twice)

I also beleive that a single aircraft can be damaged multiple times, especialy high durability aircraft such as the B-17.
