And to the Japanese dismay, the allies are strengthening their grip on Japan.

In the Pacific, the allies capture Saipan.
This should conclude the conquest of the whole Mariannas sea area.

The situation in China has radicaly changed.
Most of the coast has been recaptured by the Chinese.
Islands of isolated Japanese units are being battered and slowly reduced by the enemy.
The only ports still in Japanese hands are these facing Taiwan, plus Canton. But they are too far to be reached by unsuppleied units, moving in the rain through montains. Even if the units did reach the ports, the path for ferrying them back to Japan where they are really needed is quite unsure.

The axis thinks very hard before deciding what to do.
A lone bomber could be overrun and destroyed in Japan. Some units might try a run for the coast, most probably to be slaughter in a next impulse.
Germany could possibly take an air impulse to reorganize two fighters, but Berlin is beyond saving if the turn continues.
Nothing serious can be achieved beyond that.

End of turn is 20% if everybody passes.
10% if all but one pass.
0% otherwise.

Averybody passes, and the turn terminates on a roll of 2!

Pss... [:-][:-][:-]

I'll have to redo the return to base whole phase.
The game is unable to detect that under the present conditions, the Netherland sub cannot make it back to port.
Of course, I cannot destroy it (unless there is a magic, unatural and undocumented way for doing so.)
That's one more bug that has not been corrected...

Have you tried hitting backspace with the unit selected? That is how one destroys a unit.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Bad news for the Russians and Allies alike: Berlin has been thouroughly reinforced with the Berlin militia and the SS engineer div. That will make the city harder than ever to conquer! To add insult to injury, the German have rolled old planes out of storage, 3 old Messerschmidt from the years 36... Rating 3, but one still has to account for them!

The Japanese have not been idle, using pilots to man 3 land based fighers, of poor rating (5); but thats still some defense. Worse, a territorial has apperaed in Madagascar, making all the ballet from 2 turns absolutely moot. Very likely, Diego Suarez won't be captured!

The allies have to reroll to grab the initiative.

Possibly, but unsure.
Anyway, this is not the right way to do things: the option should be available in the contextual menu.

The Russians decide on changing their tactics.
They start with an air offensive: It is necessary to flip all units in Berlin, and prevent any possible reiforcements.
This will also let move some other planes.
In any case, the Russians abandon the idea that they can capture Helsinky this turn.

As usual, the Commonwealth and USA take supercombined.

The Russians begin by a carpet bombing attack to soften up the German defenses.

With a result that the Russians watch with envy.
Removing an engineer division is certainly a good result. The plane, on the other hand...

The ground strike phase is extremely active.
But in Berlin, the Russian meet a quite strong air defense les by the most modern German fighters...
