Be it ever so humble, there's no place like ... the Man Cave:
The whole Dev Team is very envious of Berto's Man Cave. That is the reason he never invites us to his home, for he knows we'd never leave. It is all good. For we wouldn't.
So, the rest of us have to cope in other ways. Me? I rely on elvis-iv to do his part. There is only One Elvis. Similarly, there is only one elvis-iv, so better make it count.
elvis-iv is a custom built. Did you know? You can easily build one. All it takes is something to scare all the bugs away so they'll never come back. One of the easier methods is to remind them you're a M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Software.
If you're not, like I am not: bluff!
In pic 1 I've placed my trusted NASA coffee mug (must be filled with black coffee - no cream, no sugar!) among the components. See all the little bugs running away! I rely on basic, robust components. What better way to start a build for a wargamin' computer than to built it inside Corsair's matt black steel cage known as Carbide 300r. Love it. The other component I choose as a basis is a solid Corsair power source. You want to built on a solid basis right! Love them too, with their cool blue leds shining in the dark corner of my teeny tiny Man Attic Corner Thingy. Love it too! I've built pretty much similar rigs to my sons, geared up to their more modern taste on PC games.

In pic 2, and you can call me old school for I am, but there's nothing like buying the biggest and baddest air cooler there is, and to stick it into the motherboard. No water cooling sissies allowed in our house! It is a man thing. Love it.

In pic 3, 'elvis-iv is alive'. This moment never ceases to amaze me. Bluff worked. No bugs, they were removed in step 1 remember.

Yet, how can I compete with Berto's Man Cave. We can't. No one can. And I am not on a Mission Impossible here so I will look to compliment it rather.
One of the things Berto convinced the team very early on was to install Cygwin on our systems, to be able to run his magical scripts on our builds too.
In Pic 4, four simultaneous ME executables, each with their own list of scenarios to run. Running the games with 2D Extreme Zoom-out View for a bit quicker resolution as there's less zooming around the map. Neat!

I have observed the RAM usage varies per scenario size from low 75 megs to larger scenarios at 150-200 range and even the biggest ones at 300 - 350 meg range. Not bad! This is a robust, efficient game engine we're packing. Very stable too, given we've so far together with Berto ran some 300 scenarios over the past two days without a crash.
Will there be bugs? Yes, they are unavoidable, there will always be bugs. [:(] Among our testing we continue to meet not only bugs of our own making, but from legacy stuff too, still.

So we have a few QA tricks up our sleeves. But despite that, will Middle East ship entirely, 100% bug free? Hardly! But it won't be for lack of trying!
Amen!
Edited with a better screenshot showing all the moving parts [:)]
