In Progress Massive Mod.

Commander - The Great War is the latest release in the popular and playable Commander series of historical strategy games. Gamers will enjoy a huge hex based campaign map that stretches from the USA in the west, Africa and Arabia to the south, Scandinavia to the north and the Urals to the east on a new engine that is more efficient and fully supports widescreen resolutions.
Commander – The Great War features a Grand Campaign covering the whole of World War I from the invasion of Belgium on August 5, 1914 to the Armistice on the 11th of November 1918 in addition to 16 different unit types including Infantry, Cavalry, Armoured Cars and Tanks, Artillery, Railroad Guns and Armoured Trains and more!

Hi Guys, I thought I would start a new thread, that over the coming weeks, will highlight a lot of new stuff, being added to the game, for your future enjoyment.

Here as a starter is a list of German Air Aces that will be in the game, a great many more Commanders will be included in the game for all Nation's. All these Commanders played important rolls in World War 1, and I dedicate their addition to the game, to all their relatives and friends, to all these brave souls, who gave their lives for our freedom.

German General Ludendorff.

You may also notice the new cluster off Germany Cities,that represent the Ruhr region of the map, and its importance to Germany,these Cities are Dortmund,Essen & Duesseldorff.

Zeppelin now cost more too produce and upkeep! As do Fighters & Bombers, these changes I think will improve the Air Warfare game even more.

In an attempt to stop the gamie ploy of disbanding Small Garrison units, I have reverted them to what they were designed to do, and that is Defend your Cities behind the frontline, these are your home guard units, so just be grateful that they are their protecting your precious Cities.

Also as an added bonus, all the scenarios in the game will be even harder to win, as the AI player will have more advantage, as per units on the map, when you play at higher difficulty levels.

As I said previously elsewhere, Convoys are now on manual control, this is something that has been, needed since the games first release.

This has been a "Bone of contention" for a lot of players: To disband or not disband SGs? Many do not realize the advantages or disadvantages of disbanding for the exact reasons you point out in the above SS.
